As you have probably read about or heard directly from a member of CAM, “we get involved in the REO process way up stream”.  Because many times we are brought in by lender clients to help normalize their portfolios by having them outsource their potentially toxic assets to us whereby we can determine the likilihood of loan placement elsewhere with another lender it then becomes common for CAM to be in first position to assets that are cnadidates for note sales. These types of off market assets are what investors today are seeking today for typically they are characterized by larger discounts than an REO which makes sense since the investor will have to take control of servicing the note, managing the property and in the case of NPN work thru the foreclosure process.

If your not involved in Commercial note sales you are missing the boat. However, you need to know what you are doing and with CAM’s help you can attend our note sales course which is one of the eight courses of or Commercial Distressed Asset Specialist designation.
